L’Oreal came out with a Studio Secrets Professional line, and I picked up the Crystal Shadow Duo in Precious. I got this duo since it looked like the easiest to work with. These types of shimmery shadows tend to fall out and cause a mess all over your cheeks, so I wanted the lightest duo since it’s easier to clean up any fall out.

The swatches came out pretty — very crystallized as advertised. However, I wouldn’t recommend using the duo by itself. I like to mix shimmery with matte, so that I don’t end up shining like a disco ball. Here’s a look I came up with using the duo and mixing in MAC E/S in “Handwritten” along the outer V (blend along crease).

My advice is to definitely use some sort of primer (Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Urban Decay Primer Potion, etc.) before you apply the duo to reduce the amount of fall out. Then for any remaining fall out, take a large powder brush and lightly sweep any excess off.
