Hi Diana, I'm not sure what you are asking, since you mentioned something about classes. These MAC Pro Student Kits are just makeup kits you can buy if you are a student attending an eligible school or institution of makeup artistry, cosmetology, hairstyling, etc. (see the application for students in North America for more information). These kits are not tied to any classes. Hope that helps!

hey,i was went on the website and my cosmetology school is elegible,but im concerned about how the classes work exactly?i tried looking all over the website and couldnt get an accurate answer..i live in illinois at go to regency beauty institute if that help PLEase Email me at diana_1840@yahoo.com or sanchezdiana@live.com…to go more into depth about the program.

Hi Christina,

The descriptions for each of the kits listed above indicate “Student Kits are offered at a 40% discount which is reflected in the final price”. That’s directly from the MAC Pro website, so the prices listed are the actual cost with the discount already included (as of the date I wrote this post). Also, only those with a MAC Pro Student card can buy these kits, so if you haven’t already done so, check the MAC Pro website if your school is listed as one of the eligible schools so that you can apply for the card. You can either buy the kits online (you’ll have to sign in first with your student membership info to see the kits) or you can call and order by phone. Here’s what it says on the MAC Pro website:

Preassembled kits are available for purchase exclusively to PRO Student Members only in North America and the UK. Sign in at M·A·C Cosmetics Online to view kits content.
Members in North America can purchase student kits online or via phone through M·A·C Customer Service at 1.800.387.6707 ext. 8555. In the UK, call 0870 034 2676 to order or email promembershipuk@mac-cosmetics.co.uk for more information.

Hi Anna! I just checked MAC Pro and these kits are still available as of today. The prices listed are what you’ll pay if you orded it from MAC Pro (the student discount is already included in the price). Your school may have other items included in their $800 price, such as textbooks, extra supplies, etc.

The Student Kits I included here were first released in January 2010, so the kits with airbrush products are correctly listed. I don’t think the kits available before then had airbrush products.

Hi,

Thank you sooooo much for listing this. I’m starting school in a month and its good to know what is included in the kit that I will be getting. One thing though is that the price of our make-up kit was $800 as opposed to the $600 listed here…. could it have gone up or is that the standard price without the student discount?

Also I was told MAC didn’t make airbrush toolkit nor colors but you’ve listed them here…. is that true?
