This Eye of the Day was inspired by Badtz-Maru, a mischievous little penguin created by Sanrio. I got a t-shirt with Badtz-Maru’s face on the front, so I wore it going geocaching the other day. Since this penguin is black, white, and yellow, I used similar eyeshadow colors below:

1. Apply MAC Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre” on entire lid.
2. Use MAC E/S in “Vanilla” as highlight.
3. Apply MAC Pigment in “Golden Lemon” (dry) on lower lid and blend on and above crease.
4. Put MAC Pro E/S in “Bright Sunshine” on lower lid to make the look even more vibrant.
5. Line upper lash line with a black color, like Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in “Black Ink”.
6. Apply MAC E/S in “White Frost” along lower lash line.

The picture above was taken at a park while geocaching. If you’re not familiar with geocaching, it’s like a high-tech treasure hunt! You use a GPS to navigate to a particular location (using longitude and latitude coordinates), and then look for a hidden cache (usually a container of varying sizes). To keep the treasure hunt alive, you can take something from a cache but leave something of equal or greater value behind. There’s also “guest books” in some of them, so it’s interesting to see who’s found the caches over the days, months, and years. Visit Geocaching.com for more information!
