My MAC Pret-A-Papier Picks & Swatches

MAC’s latest collection is called Pret-A-Papier, and most of the colors are brown/neutral and coral. These are my picks that I bought on the collection’s release date (April 22, 2010), and have been trying out since then:

Here are the swatches:

As you might have noticed in many of my looks, I use “Soft Ochre” Paint Pot almost everyday. I own about a dozen Paint Pots, but I don’t use them as often so I wasn’t sure about getting “Coral Crepe” at first. However, once I tried it out, the color was just too pretty to pass up, especially since it’s limited edition. I also like using “Coral Crepe” on my cheeks as well as a base on my eyelids.

This collection has a total of 4 lipsticks, but “Made to Order” lipstick is my favorite. It’s a nice coral-pink color, and it glides on my lips smoothly and doesn’t make my lips feel dry like some MAC lipsticks do.

My absolute favorites out of everything in this collection are the Chromagraphic Pencils, because there are a lot of uses for them. I like to use them along my lower waterline to make my eyes look bigger (but in a more natural way than when using a white pencil), as a concealer (it allows for precise concealing, since you only want to conceal the area(s) that needs concealing), and to outline all or some of the outer perimeter of my lips to make my lipstick stand out more. When using these pencils, blend them out after you apply them — I just use my fingers. Here’s how it looks like when these are blended:

The Chromagraphic Pencils are selling out quickly! If you can’t get your hands on one, the lighter “NC15/NW20″ pencil is available at MAC Pro stores. The darker “NW25/NC30″ is also available there, but for a limited time.
