Fashion Friday: Episode 14
Posted on May 7, 2010 | 2 CommentsThis outfit is from H&M, and it was super cheap! I'm wearing a red top with ruffles along the neckline ($12.95), and a black high-waisted skirt with white polka dots ($9.95). H&M has a lot of these high-waisted skirts in different prints. I got another one that has a floral design that's also $9.95. They're great Spring-to-Summer skirts! Read more... -
Vidal Sassoon Triple-Barrel Waver
Posted on May 6, 2010 | 4 CommentsI found my old Vidal Sasson Triple-Barrel Waver I had my first year of college. It's my second one ever, since I had misplaced my first one that I got sometime in high school. Years later, this thing still works! I like using this triple-barrel waver to add volume and natural-looking waves to my hair. This triple-barrel waver has lasted for years, and it's cheap! Read more... -
Mixing Medium and How to Make Your Own
Posted on May 5, 2010 | 44 CommentsAre there any alternatives to the MAC Pro Water Base Mixing Medium? The answer is yes! In a nutshell, mixing medium is basically water with some glycerin, and it's commonly used with pigments/eye shadows to make the colors more vivid. Although I love using my MAC mixing medium, it's only available at MAC Pro stores/website. However, there's a cheap alternative -- make your own! It's really easy to do. Here are the steps to making your own homemade mixing medium! Read more... -
MAC Teal Pigment Look
Posted on May 4, 2010 | 9 CommentsI've been going to MAC every week for the past 5 weeks trying to get a hold of their Teal Pigment. For some reason, they are still out of stock (I've been to both a freestanding store and the MAC Pro store in San Francisco). I'm ready to just order it online! I ended up asking for a sample of this pigment, so that I could go ahead and start creating looks with it. This is my first look using this beautiful teal pigment! Read more... -
My MAC Pret-A-Papier Picks & Swatches
Posted on May 3, 2010 | 1 CommentMAC's latest collection is called Pret-A-Papier, and most of the colors are brown/neutral and coral. Here are my picks that I bought on the collection's release date (April 22, 2010), and have been trying out since then. Read about why these are my favorites, and see the swatches! Read more...
