This is my graduation dress that I wore underneath my cap and gown during the day and to my graduation dinner party that night. This dress is called “Palenque Halter Dress” from Anthropologie ($178.00). It has raw-edged tiers of black voile that are split at the center to reveal a panel of intricate, Meso-embroidery.

I tied a small bow on the back and flattened it so that it wouldn’t look puffy under my gown. However, the bow is supposed to be big and cute like the picture below:

When I went shopping for my graduation dress, I had pictured getting a totally different dress. This was actually the first dress I saw, and I instantly fell in love with it. It’s very voluminous (which is why I didn’t think I’d get a dress like this since I didn’t want to look voluminous under my gown LOL), so I made sure to try it under my gown when I got home to make sure it still looks nice.
You can see a closeup of my graduation shoes on Fashion Friday: Episode 17.
As promised, here are some pictures from my graduation ceremony and party!

This is the stage that I walked across during the Computer Science Convocation. Dr. Louden, the Chair of my department, is posing with me in the building I used to spend all my time during those 2 1/2 years I was working on my second bachelor’s degree.

I took a lot of pictures around campus after the ceremony — here’s one with my very-happy-that-I-graduated-and-have-no-more-homework boyfriend.
These mini mugs filled with chocolates and “irresistible robot” trinkets were made by me and my boyfriend for our guests at my graduation party. The one in the front is wearing a medal that my boyfriend surprised me with, since it’s supposed to be me with one of three Summa Cum Laude (with highest honor) medals awarded in the entire university.

For my graduation present, my boyfriend threw me a party at Dave & Buster’s at a private room called the Executive Billiards Room. Dave & Buster’s is a place to eat, drink, and play games (they have a huge arcade where you can win tickets that you can exchange for prizes). Here are some pictures with me and my mom (left) and me and my older sister (right). My sister saw my Fashion Friday: Episode 1 post a long time ago, and she bought one for herself — she’s wearing it here!

The table we ate on is actually a pool table that we used after dinner in our private room. On the right, my family got me my favorite fresh strawberry and whipped cream-filled cake!
A big thanks to my family and friends who were able to share this occasion with me! And thanks to my readers for your wishes as well!

Congratulations!
Thanks Valia!
