I have been eying these Bowtied-Beauty Boots ever since I saw them in Anthropologie’s August 2010 catalog that came in the mail a month ago. I’m a sucker for bows, so when I saw that there are three bows on each boot I just knew I had to at least try them on. I went shopping in San Francisco over the weekend, and stopped by the Anthropologie store there since they carry shoes at that location. Here’s how they look like (without flash)!

They are made of chestnut leather, ruched at the vamp (the top part of the foot) and adorned with three pert bows. I’ve never owned tall leather boots before, because I’ve been blessed with muscular calves which don’t do well with materials that don’t easily stretch. However, I was able to get into these boots without cutting off my circulation!
This is how it looks when I’ve filled them out (with flash):

I instantly fell in love with these boots after trying them on, so I happily paid the $248 for them — this is more than I would normally pay for a shoe, but they are very feminine, sturdy, and actually stay up (unlike stretchier knee-high boots that tend to fall down). If you have smaller calves than I do, these boots will make your legs look skinnier.
While we’re on the topic of boots, check out these Dr. Martens I saw at Nordstrom in Wesfield San Francisco Centre — this one’s for all you Sanrio/Hello Kitty fans!
