This look has a pop of color along my lower waterline. I used a MAC Fluidline called “Blue Peep” to line right where my lower lashes are and blended it onto my waterline. This is a fun bright turquoise blue color that becomes noticeable when you make eye contact!

EYES
- MAC Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre” (entire lid)
- MAC E/S in “Honey Lust” (lower lid)
- MAC E/S in “Nylon” (tear duct)
- MAC E/S in “Mystery” (outer V; blend along crease)
- MAC E/S in “Vanilla” (highlight)
- Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in “Black Ink” (upper lash line)
- MAC Fluidline in “Blue Peep” (apply right on top of lower lash line, blending it slightly onto lower waterline)
- Maybelline The Falsies Volum’Express Waterproof Mascara in “Very Black” (two coats on top and one coat on bottom lashes)
CHEEKS
- Benefit Bronzing Powder in “Hoola” (contour)
- MAC Powder Blush in “Sincere” (on apples)
LIPS
- MAC L/S in “Touch”

I only use MAC Fluidline on my waterline if there’s a color that I want on my waterline that I don’t have in a pencil. This particular “Blue Peep” Fluidline didn’t irritate my eyes and had pretty good staying power. For my waterline, I still like MAC Eye Kohl Pencils the best though!

What foundation base are you wearing? and did you use primer under the base? looks nice!
Karen
Still looking for oily skin foundation except Lancome type which I used for years, starting to look too aging to wear that much heavy stuff!

That is so pretty!
what an enchanting and pretty eye! you always inspire me to try more fun pops of color on my eyes
Hi Karen,
In these pictures, I’m using MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation in “140″. I’ve only been using this foundation for a couple weeks now, and I’m liking it so far. My skin is normal (“combination”) — neither excessively dry nor oily for the most part. This foundation feels light, like an extra layer of skin.
I am using a face primer underneath the foundation (but over the moisturizer). The one I use is the same one I wrote about in my Face Primer technique post.
Since you mentioned you have oily skin, I recommend using a face primer with silica as well. The one I use (Bare Escentuals bareVitamins Prime Time) has Silica in it — Silica helps absorb oil, which also helps prevent blocked pores.
As for foundation, try mineral powder foundation since it’s great for absorbing oil and it’s also lightweight. Skin thins as you get older, so it’s better to use lighter coverage foundation. Alternatively, just use foundation only were you need it and then use a translucent talc-free powder or blotting tissues to help with oil control.
Good luck!
Thanks Lily!
Thanks Molly! Pops of colors are fun to wear. Let me know if you come up with another area on your eyes to apply them!
