Here’s an all purple makeup look for all my purple fans.
I used purple eye shadows, a burgundy (reddish purple) blush, and a blue violet lip color. The lip product I’m wearing is one of the new MAC Pro Longwear Lipcremes that I just reviewed.

EYES
- MAC Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre” (entire lid)
- MAC E/S in “Digit” (apply as a wash on entire lid — click here to read more about this simple technique)
- MAC E/S in “Parfait Amour” (lower lid)
- MAC E/S in “Shadowy Lady” (outer V; blend along crease)
- MAC E/S in “Gesso” (highlight)
- Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in “Black Ink” (upper lash line)
- Maybelline The Falsies Volum’Express Waterproof Mascara in “Very Black” (two coats on top and one coat on bottom lashes)
CHEEKS

- MAC Powder Blush in “Loverush” (on apples)
LIPS
- MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in “Goes and Goes”

Oh that is so pretty! Which do you prefer to use, Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner or MAC Fluidline? and why?
Thanks Lily! I tend to use Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliners more often, because it takes a little longer to set than MAC Fluidines. I usually wing out my eyeliner, so I like that the Bobbi Brown formula doesn’t dry too fast so that I have some time to fade out the end of the wing. They are both great products though — just depends on your own preference.
Really subtle.
Hey, this is gorgeous. I am going to use this look for my wedding day make-up. It’s a look I try to achieve — but this is so much cleaner than I’ve gotten the shades to look. Thank you!
Thanks Tori! Congrats on your upcoming wedding! <3
Hi! Your face is always flllaawwwless! What do you use to achieve that??
Thanks Chloé! I can’t remember which foundation I used here since I came up with this makeup look back in 2010. For a full coverage look, I like using airbrush foundation as well as liquid and cream foundations (set with loose powder by pressing it onto your skin with a large powder puff).
Is there a product you would definitely recommend?
Hi Chloé,
If you’re looking for a personal airbrush machine, Dinair has a nice kit with a very good and portable compressor. As for foundation, it depends on your skin type and preference (how much or little you like to wear). I have combination skin, and I like full coverage — my all-time favorite everyday foundation is Lancôme Photôgenic Lumessence. I set it with Chanel Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder (which is on the pricy side, so I use it on days I’ll be taking pictures), but I also like MAC Select Sheer Loose Powder for everyday. Hope that helps!
Thanks, it does help. I also have combination skin so that will be on my whishlist!
You can ask for a sample of Lancôme Photôgenic Lumessence next time you’re at Macy’s so you can try it out!
Yes that’s a good idea! And I am also curious about the Chanel loose powder because I’ve heard some good things about it!
