Cal Football Makeup EOTD
Posted on November 20, 2010 | 6 CommentsToday is the 113th Big Game where college rivals Cal and Stanford meet annually for a highly anticipated game of football. :) I'm going to the game, so I came up with a makeup look to match my school colors -- Yale Blue (a dark blue color defined as the color of light with a 482-nm wavelength... yes, very nerdy) and California Gold. The bear on my face is Oski, the official mascot of the University of California, Berkeley. Read more... -
Fashion Friday: Episode 42
Posted on November 19, 2010 | 1 CommentWhen I go on vacation, I like to buy accessories as souvenirs, so that when I wear them later on they remind me of all the beautiful places I've visited. It's also my small way of supporting the preservation of these historic areas, since I buy them from their official gift shops. For this Fashion Friday, I want to show you pictures of my souvenir accessories and the locations where I got them! Read more... -
Inglot Green and Brown Look
Posted on November 17, 2010 | 2 CommentsThis is my first makeup look using Inglot eye shadows. The eye shadows are very smooth to apply and really easy to blend. This green color is absolutely gorgeous and vivid -- and best of all, it stays just as pigmented at the end of the day! Read more... -
Why, Hello Inglot Cosmetics!
Posted on November 15, 2010 | 18 CommentsWhile on vacation in London, I was eager to explore European makeup brands in between checking out all the beautiful castles and historic landmarks. Inglot Cosmetics was one of the main brands I was most excited about, because they have a unique "Freedom System" that allows you to design a palette from a huge range of colors in magnetic pans of various shapes and sizes. You can even mix and match eye shadows, concealers, blush, etc. in one palette! Read more... -
Touch of Brown EOTD
Posted on November 13, 2010 | 5 CommentsThis is one of the easiest looks I like to do when I'm short on time but still want a little definition on my crease. I also like to wear this Eye of the Day when I wear bold red lipstick or a bright cheek color, because this eye is subtle and nicely balances out vibrant lips/cheeks. Also, since the eye shadows I used are matte, this would look even more flattering with a shimmery lip gloss on top of a bold lipstick. Read more...
