Yellow and Brown with Blue Glitter EOTD

Here’s one way to combine subtle glitter to your eye makeup — on top of your eyeliner! Apply a glitter liquid liner on top of a dark eyeliner to really bring out the color(s) of the glitter. For this Eye of the Day, I used a matte black gel liner with a sparkly blue glitter liquid liner. This is my first time using Barry M Glitter Liquid Eyeliner (love it!), but I’m also a big fan of Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner (click here to see a look using a purple UD glittler eyeliner). I have glitter along my entire upper lash line, but it only showed up in the picture where the light was directly hitting it. The glitter stands out a lot more in person than the picture shows!

  1. Prime your entire lid with a primer like MAC Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre”.
  2. Apply a shimmery yellow color on your lower lid with a dense eye shadow brush. I used Inglot E/S D.S. (Double Sparkle) in “474”.
  3. Using a blending brush, apply a dark brown eye shadow (like Inglot AMC E/S in “52″) on your outer V, and blend it just past the outer half of your crease.
  4. Apply a matte cream color like Inglot E/S Matte in “351″ as highlight.
  5. Line your upper lash line with a dark color, like the matte black Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel in “77″.
  6. Once the dark eyeliner is dry (if you used a gel or liquid liner), apply a glitter liquid liner on top of the dark eyeliner using short strokes. I used Barry M Glitter Liquid Eyeliner in “16” (Blue).
  7. Curl your lashes and apply mascara to both your upper and lower lashes. Here I’m wearing Maybelline The Falsies Volum’Express Waterproof Mascara in “Very Black”.

You’re makeup is pure perfection. Do you ever show pics of work you’ve done on other people so that we can see the looks you do on a variety of skin tones?
I am ethnic, and a self proclaimed makeup-nista. I am greatly inspired by so many of your looks!

Thanks Ty! This website mainly has looks that I do on myself, with an exception of Before and After Makeovers from an event I had earlier this year where I gave free makeovers when I launched this site. When I do makeup on others, I don’t normally take pictures for the site especially if they are paying. If you come up with a makeup look or try one of the ones I’ve written about and want to share it, send me a message! You could be the next Fan Look! :)
