Shimmery eye makeup is a great way to glam up your look for the holidays and special occasions. Shimmer (a powder with a shimmery effect, like a shimmery eye shadow) is an easier alternative to glitter (cosmetic grade/FDA approved glitter made of a poly-coated pigment using safe plastic), because you still get some sparkle without the extra steps glitter usually requires to stay on for a long time. I focused on blue shimmer for this look, but you can use any shimmery color on your lid and a darker shade of the same color on your outer V.

EYES
- MAC Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre” (entire lid)
- MAC Pro Pigment in “Steel Blue” (apply wet on lower lid using a sponge-tipped applicator and MAC Pro Water Base Mixing Medium — click here to see how to make your own homemade mixing medium)
- Inglot E/S D.S. in “483″ (outer V; blend along outer half of crease)
- MAC E/S in “Ricepaper” (highlight)
- Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel in “77″ (upper lash line)
- MAC Limited Edition Eye Kohl in “Float On By” (lower waterline)
- Maybelline The Falsies Volum’Express Waterproof Mascara in “Very Black” (two coats on top and one coat on bottom lashes)
CHEEKS
- Benefit Bronzing Powder in “Hoola” (contour)
- MAC Powder Blush in “Fleur Power” (on apples)
- TEMPTU AIR pod Highlighter in “301 Champagne” (upper half of apples and up towards temples)
LIPS
- MAC L/S in “Vegas Volt”

I wore this makeup look this past Sunday. Here’s a picture of me at the end of the day with American Idol Season 3 Finalist Jasmine Trias.

Wow! Absolutely sexy and flawless! Love the lippie and you guys look fantabulous!
Thanks Lily! Vegas Volt is one of my all-time favorite MAC lipsticks.
