I got some makeup palettes from my family on my birthday. One of the palettes I received is this tokidoki Robbery Palette from Sephora (thanks Ma!
). The palette comes in the adorable keepsake tin shown below. The tokidoki heart and bones logo on the center is actually a magnet.

Inside the tin, there’s a decorative mirror on the back of the lid (I say “decorative” because it’s more of a fun house mirror that I wouldn’t use to apply the makeup, but it’s still a cute addition to the tin). There are three separate makeup palettes that are removable. Each palette comes with four eye shadow colors and one blush or bronzer.

From left to right, these are the names of the palettes and what comes with each (most colors are limited edition, except for the names marked with a * — those with a * are also currently available on tokidoki’s permanent makeup line at Sephora):
- Royal Pride Palette – eye shadows in Lion Pappa, Savana*, Ercolino, and Bulletto*; bronzer in Royal Pride*
- Arlecchino Palette – eye shadows in Soya*, Candy Cane, Ninja Dog, and Meteo; blush in Momobella
- Rapina Palette – eye shadows in Liberty, Bullets, LA Gun, and Adios; blush in Polpettina
Here are the swatches in the same order as you see them positioned inside the tin:

Overall, I really like the colors that comes with this set since there are definitely some unique shades. My favorites are the shimmery neon green “Soya”, the frosty copper “Lion Papa”, the shimmery gold “Savana”, and the metallic silver “Bullets”. I was surprised that most of the eye shadows were pigmented and didn’t fade by the end of the day, because I’ve found that sometimes when the packaging is really cute, the product quality takes a hit. There are only two things I would’ve liked to be better — 1. the “Candy Cane” white eye shadow in the middle palette has a lot of chunky glitter that could fall out if you’re not careful applying it and 2. the lack of highlight colors in the palette. Below is an EOTD using the middle palette, where I attempted to use only the four eye shadow colors it came with. The blue and green eye shadows are gorgeous colors that I’d most likely use with other non-tokidoki eye shadows instead of “Candy Cane” (which is on the highlight and center lower lid to inner corner).

The Robbery Palette is a $140 value — with a total of 12 eye shadows, 1 bronzer, 2 blushes, a magnet, and a collectible tin. It was originally $49, but now that it’s after Christmas you can get it for $39! My favorite of the three palettes that it comes with is the Royal Pride Palette — I love all the colors this one comes with! I came up with a makeup look using everything from the Royal Pride Palette, so keep an eye out for that!
Did you get any makeup over the holidays?

I really like alot of the tokidoki line…and this kit looks like alot of fun! I think the EOTD you came up with is amazing! I just thought I’d let you (and everyone else that reads this lol) know, since you’re a make-up junkie like I am, you can purchase this kit from QVC.com for 35$!! They have a few other items available as well. There is nothing tokidoki on QVC that is over 38$ (except the Editors Tin Collection-$135)….go check it out!! I think you would LOVE the eyeliners! This brand is designed by an artist, so his products are all geared toward the Japanese artwork that he does with markers and paints…ALSO, they sell things that even Sephora can’t get (All the same brands, just exclusive colors…and much, much larger kits…for a LOT less money!!) I really hope you’ll take a few minutes to go browse around, I think you’d be suprised with all the brands/people who sell their products through QVC! (Smashbox, Bare Minerals, Laura Gellar, Mally, Bobbi Brown….and SO much more!) Have fun!!
P.S I know you like to use Bobbi Browns long-wear gel eyeliner, (item number A-85747), comes in 5 colors, 21$ and right now you get 3$ off each one you purchase after the first in the same order!!
Hi Tracy,
Thanks for all the info! I haven’t tried buying anything from QVC before — didn’t know they carry that wide a range of makeup brands!
Well, just so you know, I’m only 28, so it’s not like I’m just some elderly person who watches home shopping channels! LOL. But, I have found they have just about any kind of make-up you could possibly want (they even have kits for Temptu that are exclusive to QVC, so you can’t get them anywhere else, they’re cheaper and you get more product!!). Also, If you want to find other brands that you may use, try HSN.com. I love them for FusionBeauty, Lancome, Ready to Wear, No! No!, KORRES, Carols Daughter (LOVE!), Ed Hardy, Bed Head, and SO many more!! I’ve been shopping with both companies for several years now and will NOT buy retail again. You get so much more for your money, I mean truly, they offer huge KITS…rather than going to a store/boutique and spending sometimes double for one product. I just wanted to let you know about these two options because you’re obviously a lover of makeup like the rest of us! Another benifit of shopping at either/both of these places, is that if you can watch them on t.v (you can have emails sent to you to let you know when your favorite brands will be on, so you never miss a sale again!), you can get anniversary pricing, or event prices, but also you get to hear about the products from the people who own the companies, and more importantly, you’re guaranteed fresh product, never sitting on a store shelf, and with a 30 day UNCONDITIONAL money back guarantee…It’s definitely worth the time to check it out!!!
Hello! Enjoyed your website. I also purchased the unbelievable Tokidoki (The Robbery Palette) back a couple of years ago from QVC. I put the kit up and saved it for my daughter. She turned 13 and starting experiencing with makeup so I gave her the kit.
Of course, she loved it and I cannot locate the kit any longer on QVC. Do you know where I could possibly purchase another Tokidoki (The Robbery Palette)? Thanks so much for all your help! Thanks!!!!
Tammy
Hi Tammy! That is so sweet of you to save the palette for your daughter! Unfortunately this palette is no longer available at QVC and Sephora. I also checked Amazon.com, but they only have some of the more recent palettes. I got mine in December 2010, and I still have it in the original packaging! I guess I’ve been saving mine too
There are a lot of good palettes out there though, so hopefully your daughter will like another one just as much!
