My younger sister got me this CARGO Lumières du Monde holiday palette for my birthday. Lumières du Monde is French for “Lights of the World”. This palette features a collection of eight eye shadows and a duo of Medium Bronzer and Rome Blush. The blush bronzer duo is located at the center of the palette.

The back of the packaging has letters that help indicate the colors, so I referred to these letters in the EOTD that I came up with at the end of this review. Here are the colors that each of these letters represent:

The swatches in the picture below starts with A on the left and ends with J on the right. My favorites are the gold, blue, bronze, and purple colors!

This is an EOTD using four of these eye shadows — H. matte warm grey (highlight), B. gold (center lower lid to inner corner and tear duct), G. purple (outer to center lower lid), and A. teal (outer V and blend along crease).

Since this was a gift, I’m not sure where my younger sister bought this but I do know it was available at Ulta for $29.00. I haven’t really used much CARGO makeup before, so I was happy to receive such a variety of colors that can be combined to create numerous daytime and nighttime looks. Also, the eye shadow pans are really big (3g each), similar in size to Stila and Make Up For Ever single eye shadow pans but with more product (Stila ~2.6g and MUFE 2.5g)! Thanks Kimmi!

That is so unique and sexy! The glittery gold just makes this look so attractive.
So how do you like the quality of Cargo products?
Thanks Lily! Happy New Year!
From this palette, the “grey” (which looks more of a creamy white) eye shadow is a bit on the chalky side but the rest are very pretty (my favorites I mentioned above are highly pigmented). The blush bronzer duo is nice as well. Overall, a great value for the price. I just wish the eye shadows had names, because I tend to use products more often for this site that I can easily reference.
Wycee, I must admit when I first saw the finished look I wasn’t too fond of the color combination. I had to step outside of my box for this one because they’re not colors I would have picked for myself. But, they are indeed very pretty and do make for another great look… On a side note, I’ve been very sick and on antibiotics for a while but I’m much better. So, I will be sending you pictures soon from my MAC christmas gift to myself. ; )
Hope you feel better soon, Jesi!
I’m an avid lurker (and lover) of your blog! My fiancee just got me this pallette today after googling it and seeing your review!! I’m going to (try) do the look you provided this weekend
