I recently picked up MAC’s new limited edition lipstick in “Style Curve” that came out with their “Stylishly Yours” collection that launched in the U.S. on December 26, 2010. MAC describes this lipstick as a “bright clean violet”, but it looks more of a fuchsia color. “Style Curve” has a Cremesheen finish, so it’s creamy with some shine. This color looks great on almost every skin tone!

I created a makeup look inspired by the pinkish purple color of “Style Curve”. Since I used two colors from the Coastal Scents Ultra Shimmer 88 Eye Shadow Palette, I circled the colors I used in a picture of the palette below.

EYES
- MAC Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre” (entire lid)
- MAC E/S in “Shroom” (highlight)
- Coastal Scents Ultra Shimmer 88 Eye Shadow Palette – purple E/S (lower lid)
- Coastal Scents Ultra Shimmer 88 Eye Shadow Palette – fuchsia E/S (outer V; blend along entire crease)
- Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel in “77″ (upper lash line)
- Maybelline The Falsies Volum’Express Waterproof Mascara in “Very Black” (two coats on top and one coat on bottom lashes)

CHEEKS
- Benefit Bronzing Powder in “Hoola” (contour)
- MAC Powder Blush in “Dame” (on apples)
LIPS
- MAC Limited Edition Cremesheen L/S in “Style Curve”

I think “Style Curve” would have been more fun to wear if it was more of a true purple, but the color is still gorgeous.

Yea Wycee… I agree the actual lip color doesn’t even closely resemble the purple of the lipstick. When I first saw the picture of the product, I was kind of scared to continue scrolling down. I thought it would be too purple. Well I was in for a surprise when I saw the finished look. By the way, very beautiful look. The lip color is very pretty on you.
I agree as well. L/S looks like it would be more purple-y but it looks great on you. Love the eye colors as well … a nice bright look
Your eyes turned out beautiful. The lipstick is a bit disappointing.
Hi Jesi! Thanks! I actually wanted Style Curve to be more purple, because the color is pretty similar to a lip color I already have (MAC “Show Orchid”). I like the color though, because it’s more wearable than something more purple would be — I just think a true purple would be fun to experiment with.
Thanks, Evelyn! Love the name of your blog
Thanks Phyrra! I was hoping the lipstick color would be more unique, but I’m still having fun with it.
