Fashion Friday: Episode 49

When I saw these heels on ModCloth.com, I could see why they named it “Words Can’t Express Heel in Red” — there’s a lot going on, and it’s hard to describe! :D I’ve never seen anything like it before, so I knew I just had to have these because they are so unique! These heels were made by Irregular Choice, a brand of creative, colorful, and comfortable shoes that originated in Brighton, England. The outside of the shoe is covered in quilted red suede, and the back has a flower with petals made from a variety of printed fabrics. Some of the petals are even covered in sequins!

These heels are actually a lot taller than they appear. Since these are platform heels (which help make the arch of the shoe less severe on your feet), they are quite comfortable (for 4.5 inch heels, at least). The platform measures 1 inch. The lining is blue and is made of velvet. These heels look gorgeous from all angles, as you can see in these pictures. :)

This shoe is so intricately designed that even the bottom has a rabbit-in-a-tea-kettle print. The box is extremely cute as well! When you open the box, the shoes are wrapped in tissue that’s yellow with red hearts printed on it.

The actual name of these heels is “Sweety Bird” if you try to look for them outside of ModCloth.com. ModCloth sells these for $137.99. I ordered my usual shoe size, and the fit is pretty snug. If you want some wiggle room, you should order a half size up. I’m so happy with this purchase — these heels are definitely showstoppers!
