ASICS, an athletic footwear company founded in Japan, combined sneakers and boots to create these Onitsuka Tiger Snow Eden shoes! This sneaker boot is based on the Sunotore snowshoe that was developed for the successful Japanese racing ski team in 1972. These boots are so comfortable and cute! As I’ve mentioned in previous Fashion Fridays that feature boots, I have a hard time finding cute boots that fit my muscular calves. I can easily pull these babies on! The strings at the boot opening helps the boots stay up all day — plus, they have cute pompoms attached to them!

The extended boot shaft is quilted on the outside and has faux fur lining on the inside. The top part is actually cuff-able, so they can be worn folded down as shown in these pictures. I got the boots in the Vanilla Ice/Taupe color, but these also come in Black/Black as shown on the right.

These are great for cold weather, but I think they would be nice to wear anytime of the year and would look just as cute with shorts or a skirt in the summer. Also, the rubber lugged sole provides excellent traction on any surface in any weather. I got mine at Nordstrom for $100. I recommending going a half size up in case you want to wear them with thick socks (for extra warmth during the winter). You can just adjust the Velcro straps on the instep to make them tighter the rest of the year, if needed. These kicks are an interesting twist to casual boots!
