At the end of my review of Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips, I mentioned that I got two more boxes but this time in “380 Collide-O-Scope” and “350 Misbehaved”. I’ve worn each one for about 2 weeks (that included bowling 
), which is the same duration I wore my first box in the houndstooth pattern called “240 Check It Out”. I took some pictures of how these two designs look like in case any of you are interested in trying these out as well:
On the left, I’m wearing the color burst “Collide-O-Scope” design. Although these strips look a bit faded up close, the colors are bright and fun. I was a little bothered that my pinky finger didn’t have as much yellow as my other nails — that was the first strip I applied, so I didn’t notice it until I applied the next one. Oh well, I still liked how they turned out. The picture on the right shows the “Misbehaved” design, which is a black fishnet overlaid on a nude metallic color. I like the elegant look of these nail strips. There’s a shimmery finish to the metallic color that’s so pretty!
Based on some of the comments left on my initial review of these nail strips, some people have experienced some strips not sticking to their fingers. I haven’t had any issues at all with any of the three boxes I’ve purchased, following the same prep and application steps that I wrote about in my review. I usually do my nails at night right before I go to sleep, in case that makes a difference. I haven’t tried using any of the leftover strips, but if any of you have tried to and find that they aren’t sticky, it might be due to the leftover strips drying out from no longer being in the airtight packaging they originally came in. I’m glad to see that many of you are getting so many compliments on your nails though!

I have bought 2 packages, 1 was for my sister and the other for me. She put them on no problem. I had a small problem, I opened up the 1st airtight package and started my finger everything was going fine until I opened up the 2nd airtight package it wasn’t as sticky nor flexible but I was still able to use them. after about 3 days 1 hand looked great, the other… not so much. I took them off. Thinking I just got a “bad package” I went out and bought another one (different pattern).
1st airtight package was fine and the 2nd airtight package was WORSE then the 1st set that I bought! I was so upset. when I went to put on the 1st nail in the 2nd package I noticed it felt thicker and it wasn’t sticky I for some reason thought that I didn’t remove the plastic cover or that it was stuck on the paint. So I tried again and same thing, it was so dry that the paint actually chipped and broke off when I tried to rub it on my nail. I only had 1 hand done. =(
I love the colors and the idea but I’m now thinking if i should really try for a 3rd time and spend another $1???
Hmmm I’m not sure what to say about your experiences with these, Shan. The boxes I’ve tried have all worked great for me (and I’ve always kept them on for at least two weeks). How long did your sister’s nails last? Maybe third time’s a charm?
about 2 weeks. Thats why I wasn’t really worried the 1st time but then the 2nd time I was like “Really?” how could I have got 2 bad packages. I think I am going to try again I’m just a bit uneasy now.

I purchased two brand new boxes from CVS, both were not sticky at all. I have no clue why? I wasted a little over $20 dollars. UGH!
any suggestions to get these to stick?? super glue??
Hi Malena,
I wouldn’t recommend super glue. Did you follow all the prep instructions before you applied the strips? Did you use the strips as soon as you removed them from the airtight packaging? If so, maybe you just got bad boxes… although I have gone through at least 10 boxes and haven’t had any issues with them not sticking. Maybe try bringing what you have left and see if you can return/exchange them?
