I used Inglot eye shadows from the Freedom System neutral palette I put together when I visited Inglot’s London location back in November. I also used MAC “Reflects Antique Gold” glitter to add some sparkle to the look. I added the glitter after I finished applying all of my eye shadow — water-based mixing medium helps the glitter stay on the lid!

EYES
- MAC Paint Pot in “Soft Ochre” (entire lid)
- Inglot E/S Matte in “351″ (highlight)
- Inglot E/S AMC Shine in “30″ (inner corner and tear duct) — this is a shimmery cream eye shadow I haven’t used in a makeup look before
- Inglot E/S D.S. in “461″ (center to outer lower lid) — this is a light taupe color I also haven’t used before
- Inglot E/S D.S. in “457″ (outer V; blend along outer half of crease)
- Inglot E/S D.S. in “498″ (blend along outer V on top of 457 to create depth)
- MAC Pro Glitter in “Reflects Antique Gold” (pat on center lid using a sponge-tipped applicator with MAC Pro Water Base Mixing Medium — click here to see how to make your own homemade mixing medium)
- Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel in “77″ (upper lash line)
- Maybelline The Falsies Volum’Express Waterproof Mascara in “Very Black” (two coats on top lashes)
- Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara in “01 Black” (one coat on bottom lashes)
CHEEKS
- Dinair Airbrush Makeup Foundation in Glamour Colour Shade “Soft Brown” (contour)
- Dinair Airbrush Makeup Blush & Lips in Glamour Colour Shade “Peach Beige” (on apples)
- Dinair Airbrush Makeup Shimmer in “Champagne” (to highlight upper half of apples and up towards temples)
LIPS
- MAC Lip Pencil in “Cherry”
- MAC L/S in “Lady Danger”

I wore this makeup to go with the outfit I featured in my previous Fashion Friday post.

Hi, I really like your blog, you do such beautiful looks. I really like the eye look here, do you know of any MAC dupes?
Hey Wycee:
I visit your blog everyday anticipating looks because they are always so pretty. Yet, I must ask… How do you do it?! I really want to make wearing make up a routine just like I brush my teeth but I just can’t seem to wake up early enough. I appluad girls like you for having the motivation. You always look so put together and I just kinda throw my hair into a pony tail and that’s it for my beauty routine. Any tips?
Oh wow this is gorgeous and the lippie just makes it’s uber Sexy!!!! I love your complexion and the airbrush foundation looks great. Does the airbrush give a full coverage? Is there a liquid foundation out there that you find in your experience could be comparable to this airbrush foundation.
Thanks Mandy! If I were to do this look with MAC eye shadows, I would use Brulé for highlight, Patina for the lid, and Mulch for the outer V and crease.
Hi Jesi,
Thanks! On days I don’t have much time to get ready, I usually stick to the same quick neutral eye shadow look (the same one I mentioned to you in the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara post). If I want more color, I just put on a bold lip color. When I have more time in the morning, I come up with something more colorful for my eye shadow. Once you get used to different placements you can put colors and seeing which colors look good together (that you learn with practice and experimentation, but I try to give examples with my Look posts), the less time it will take for you to come up with a look (to match your outfit, for example) and execute it! But you can’t go wrong with a neutral eye — it will look great with any outfit!
As for hair, I used to either curl it or flat iron it everyday. But now, I just blow dry it and save curling/straightening for days when I’m going out somewhere special. When your hair grows a little longer and you want to put it up really quickly, you can try my quick hair trick — http://www.nerdygirlmakeup.com/2010/03/31/quick-hair-trick/ (I recorded that video back in 2008 hahaha)
Hope that helps!
Thanks Lily! The coverage you can get using an airbrush machine depends on the type of airbrush foundation you use. I can get full coverage with Dinair foundation, and I really like it (except that I didn’t get a foundation shade that matches my skin tone as closely as I’d prefer). It’s hard to compare airbrush application with brush application — but my favorite liquid foundations are Make Up For Ever HD Foundation (no spf) and Lancome Photogenic Lumessence (with spf).
Hey Wycee:
Thanks… I just cut my hair. My hair tends to be a little complicated and requires extra attention so less of it is better. I’m also washing it Ithe night before and just scrunch it with mousse, shine it with polisher, and top off with hairspray and when I wake up I touch it up. Since it’s shorter it curls better and lasts longer. Now, I can’t do any of that with makeup. I pretty much understand placement. I’m just not fast enough. It always takes me at least 20 minutes each time I do it even with neutral colors. So I guess that just boils down to what you said, practice! ; ) Thanks for the time you took to share your tips. You know I’m a fan!
