One of my favorite recent clothing purchases is this blue ribbed cropped open jacket. It’s so comfortable and just thick enough to keep me warm during nice but windy spring and summer days. This jacket also works well with a lot of outfits — I’ve already worn it with skirts, skinny jeans, and maxi dresses! In these pictures, I’m wearing it with a red spring flower dress that has a nice ruffle around the neckline.
Last Sunday, the “Easter Bunny” brought me a basket of candy and beauty products! I got a lot of things for my nails this year — like 4 boxes of Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips (since the “Easter Bunny” has been seeing me applying these strips pretty often the past few months). Check out pictures of my basket! If you’re curious who this mysterious “Easter Bunny” is, I mentioned it in my post about my Easter basket from last year).
This makeup look matches the coral dress and green scarf I wrote about in my latest Fashion Friday post. Since coral was the dominant color of my outfit, I decided to use mostly green eye shadows (as well as an olive green pencil on my lower waterline). I added just a touch of coral on the outer lid to subtly tie in the color.
I like using coral in my makeup looks, but I realized that I don’t really have any coral clothing or accessories. So when I went to my favorite nearby indie clothing and gift boutique, I came across this cute coral dress and knew I had to have it! This Cross Ruffles Tunic Dress by Hot & Delicious has ruffles that start on top of the left shoulder and goes all the way diagonally to the bottom right side of the dress. It’s also detailed with tiny silver bead trim on the edges of all the ruffles!
Essie released a collection called “French Affair” for Spring 2011. This collection has 6 new nail polish shades in retro pastels as well as neutrals, all inspired by French glamour. Sticking with the pastel theme of my last makeup look, I wanted to try out one of the pastel shades called “French Affair”. This color is a very retro 1960s pale pink!
