Try this fun, bright look on a sunny day out to the beach or a picnic in the park. There are bright pops of yellow and green on the inner and outer part of the lid. I used a paler green color on the center lid as a transition between the two vibrant colors. I also applied eye pencils in a darker green and a gold along the lower lash line to complete the look.
Nordstrom is having their Half-Yearly Sale for women and kids going on now through Sunday, June 5! I stopped by my local Nordstrom store on the first day of the sale (Wednesday, May 25th) to look at some shoes. I ended up buying two pairs of heels — a black polka dot “Apple Pie” heel from Poetic Licence and a black patent leather “Shimmer Sandal” by Michael Kors!
Maker Faire, the ultimate DIY festival, was here last weekend in the SF Bay Area. This is one of my favorite times of the year — when nerds of all ages come together for an event that encourages learning, being creative, and exploring arts, crafts, engineering, and sciences. Here are the cute items by local artists/designers and a totally useless electronics kit I hauled! Also check out a needle felted rose hair clip that I made from materials I bought at last year’s Maker Faire.
This look features one of my favorite green eye shadows from Inglot Cosmetics. I also used other Inglot colors — two shades of purple on the outer V and crease and a light pink color for highlight. For fun, I created a subtle double-winged line for my eyeliner and flicked a lime green gel liner that’s similar in color to the green eye shadow between the two wings.
Scarves are my favorite accessory, because they instantly add color, texture, and/or pattern to an outfit. They also keep you warm! I got this colorful pom pom scarf from ModCloth.com. It’s unique and pretty sizable at 52 inches by 52 inches! The pom poms are actually quite bigger than I expected when I saw the picture online (they are about an inch in diameter), but I love how they stand out and are so colorful. This scarf really livens up a simple outfit!
