I felt like coming up with this colorful vibrant look now that summer is here. The colors are very tropical — it makes me want to go to Hawaii! The purple eye shadow I used is one of the prettiest purple shades I’ve come across — Make Up For Ever “92”. I also used a limited edition turquoise pigment — MAC “Surf USA” eye shadow (from the MAC Surf, Baby! Collection that’s in stores now) or any other bright turquoise eye shadow will work too!
Tinted moisturizer is the lightest type of foundation. It’s great for those with clear skin to even out skin tone, for sheer coverage during hot summer days, and for anyone who wants a natural dewy look. I’ve always liked medium to full coverage foundation, so I usually stick to liquid and airbrush foundation. However, when I started using Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, I really like its lightweight feel and buildable coverage. It’s perfect for everyday, especially when I’m rushing out the door!
I’m back again with more polka dots! This Great Dot Maxi Dress is from Anthropologie, and I bought it a couple months ago even though I had my eyes on it for much longer, hoping it would go on sale (and it did)! I like the classic style of this dress, and it can be worn for many occasions whether formal or casual. It can also be dressed up with a belt and/or a cardigan. I wore this maxi dress with a UK Style by French Collection Gold Metallic Bolero and a matching polka dot wedge.
This is a look using one of my favorite MAC Pro pigments called “Steel Blue”. This deep turquoise green blue pigment has a gold undertone that shows up depending on how the light hits it. I like wearing this pigment wet, because it really makes the color more intense and brings out more of the golden tones.
I love getting pictures from my readers with makeup looks they’ve come up with! This Fan Look features Monica, who I got to know through comments on my posts and through e-mail. She came up with this pretty pink makeup look using Almay Intense i-Color Eyeshadow Trio for Hazels, which you can find at your local drug store. Here are pictures of her look, and how you can do it too!
