I stopped by Forever 21 when I was shopping at Ala Moana Shopping Center during my vacation in Honolulu. I picked up a few items, and this long skirt was one of them. This skirt has long black vertical strips that continue around the skirt with alternating strips of a floral pattern with cream, rose, and olive colors. The bottom section of the skirt has a similar floral pattern but with smaller flowers closer together. It’s a cute design, especially for the price!
To further emphasize my love for Make Up For Ever’s bright matte eye shadows, here’s a really bright look using a neon pink (“75″) and vibrant matte orange (“18″). These eye shadows are so pigmented that the color will stay as intense the whole day. Another great thing I love about these bright matte MUFE eye shadows is that the color you see on the pan is how it shows up on your eyes, as you can see in these pictures!
This is a daytime look I came up with using the Naked Palette. I featured two colors that I haven’t used in my other Naked Palette looks — Buck (brown matte) and Smog (golden brown shimmer). The highlight color isn’t from the palette though (I mentioned in my review that I wish there were more highlight colors in the palette), so I used one from MAC just for some variety on my Naked Palette Look series. You can just use Virgin as highlight to keep all the colors from the palette.
Before leaving for Hawaii, I stopped by my favorite local boutique (Therapy) to look for a dress for the luau my fiancé booked at Paradise Cove in Oahu. I wanted something bright and colorful but not flowery, since I wore flowery dresses to previous luaus. Check out the turquoise and purple dress I found and how to make your own flower arrangement to wear on your ear.
Reader Rachel came up with a muted/pastel version of my Colorful Makeup Look using her Sephora Blockbuster Palette from 2009. This is a great look for anyone who wants to wear lots of colors in a subtle way. I really like how her makeup look turned out and how each color smoothly transitions to the next! Rachel explains what colors she used and where, so that you can give it a try too! Thanks Rachel!
