Bright Blue and Orange Look

Blue and orange are opposite from each other on the color wheel, making them a pair of complementary colors. When used together, complementary colors really stand out. Some of you might already be aware of my fascination with Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips. These nail strips last much longer than any nail polish I've tried, and they always get lots of compliments (read more about them in my detailed review)! Although I've gone through 7 boxes of these Sally Hansen nail strips (and counting!), this is the first one I've tried with a glitter finish. I went to Target with my mom and sisters last Sunday, and we decided to check out their large collection of clearance clothing items. I found some really great bargains -- I got two outfits for $35 ($32.94 before tax)! This first outfit consists of a black and cream top by Mossimo and a navy blue and black Xhilaration skirt with a subtle tribal print. The second outfit I got is a colorful floral Xhilaration dress that comes with a thin brown belt. Have you found any bargains recently? Read more...
Yellow, Green, and Purple Look

This is a makeup look I came up with when I was in Hawaii last month. I've worn it a couple times since then, because it's a fun colorful look with a dash of glitter! The glitter was a last minute decision that I added after I had already put my eye shadow, liner, and mascara. I like how it gives just enough sparkle to your eye makeup without taking away from all the pretty colors. Read more...
Daytime Cat Eyeliner Look

In my recent Technique post about how to create winged/cat eyeliner, I applied a thicker, more dramatic wing in the step-by-step pictures. In this daytime look, I wanted to show you pictures of a more subtle wing. The same technique applies regardless of how you want you cat eye wing to look!
