  • Fashion Friday: Episode 78 - August 19th, 2011
  • Irregular Choice is a brand of colorful, quirky shoes from England. I have become such a big fan of their shoes ever since I got my hands on their Sweety Bird heels earlier this year. This Specialzo heel has an etched, black crystal heel and a big flower that sits above the ankle — these unique details are the things that make Irregular Choice shoes really stand out when you step into a room!

  • How to Create Winged/Cat Eyeliner - August 17th, 2011
  • Cat eyeliner is a simple way to make a bold statement with your makeup. If you haven’t tried it before it can be a little intimidating, but I’m here to show you a really easy way to do it! The nice thing about applying cat eyeliner is that the same technique can be used to create a cat eye that’s as subtle or as dramatic as you want. Since there are many different ways to create a cat eye, I’ll be focusing on the major characteristic of a cat eye — the wing. Check out the step-by-step pictures!

  • Smokey Burgundy and Black Look - August 15th, 2011
  • I decided to whip out my Urban Decay Book of Shadows palette to create this smokey makeup look. The two main colors I used are Last Call (iridescent plumy-purple) and Perversion (matte black). Although I used these colors from my Book of Shadows palette, both of these are available for purchase as single eye shadows. If you have Urban Decay’s new 15 Year Anniversary Eyeshadow Collection, try a brighter fuchsia version of this look with Junkshow instead of Last Call! :)

  • Fashion Friday: Episode 77 - August 12th, 2011
  • I was so happy to get this A-Different-Stripe Maxi Dress from Anthropologie on sale! I first laid my eyes on it in one of their catalogs a couple months ago, but I didn’t want to get it for $138.00. Now that it’s $69.95, I placed an order on Anthropologie.com and got my dress within a couple days. I have a few navy and white striped clothes, but this dress is just different — I like the varied spacing and thickness of each block of color and how the stripes are aligned on the crisscross back.

  • Urban Decay Naked Palette Look 4 - August 10th, 2011
  • Here’s another easy makeup look you can try with your Naked Palette! This makeup look features two matte colors in the palette — Naked (buff matte) and Buck (brown matte). These matte colors can be easily overlooked with all the gorgeous shimmery ones in the palette, so I wanted to create a look showcasing them both. I lined my upper lash line with a dark brown color (Darkhorse, which is also in the palette) for a softer effect, since I wore this makeup during the day.
