When I go shopping, I usually walk by a Free People store but I end up spending all my time at Anthropologie (the stores nearby me are across the street from each other). During Fashion’s Night Out (Thursday, September 8), I happened to go inside my first Free People store and I fell in love! This Swalesdale Texture Shrug in color Tea (also comes in Grey) is one of the items that caught my eye. It is a soft pullover faux fur shrug that’s a perfect accessory to warm up any outfit!
This shrug ($58.00) only comes in one size, and it’s 11″ long and 19″ wide. I like that I can wear summer tank tops into the fall with this shrug, since it covers my shoulders and upper half of my back. This shrug also instantly adds glamour or funk to your outfit depending on what you wear it with.
In this picture, I wore the shrug with a plain black tank top and black and cream striped maxi skirt. The skirt is from Anthropologie, and it’s called “Seamingly Maxi” ($98.00). I got this maxi a few months ago, and I’ve worn it with the black tank top many times already — but it wasn’t until I wore this outfit with the shrug that I got people asking me where I’m going all dressed up.
