Brown and Gold-Green Duochrome Look

This is my first makeup look using one of the Inglot AMC Pure Pigment Eye Shadows that I recently reviewed. I applied "84" pigment wet to intensify this gold with green duochrome color. Duochromes shift between two different colors depending on the way light hits them -- in these pictures, the light hits my center lid and really brings out the gold-green in that area. Read more...

Now that summer is coming to an end yet the weather has still been pretty warm, I was drawn to this dress since the length, material, and sleeves make it a good transition piece for chillier weather. The dress is very form fitting but still comfortable to walk around. I like the ruching along the sides of the dress that accentuate the hips. I wore it with a Nine West square scarf from Nordstrom that has cascading gold chain that goes along two sides of the scarf. Read more...
Inglot AMC Pure Pigment Eye Shadows

I picked up these three gorgeous pure pigments at Inglot in Town Square Las Vegas! Inglot AMC Pure Pigments are highly concentrated loose powder, similar to MAC Pigments. These can be applied wet or dry, and I've swatched each one both ways so you can see how pretty these look! The color payoff is awesome, and they blend very easily with other pigments and pressed eye shadows. Check out pictures of the swatches and how these pigments look up close in their containers! White, Gold, and Purple EOTD

Reader Maria sent me a request for an eye makeup look that she can wear with her formal eggplant purple dress for an Air Force ball. Since she mentioned that she prefers eye shadow that isn't too smokey, I came up with this look that uses neutral colors with a little pop of purple to tie in the color of her dress. When I saw this dress online, I knew that it was going to be my "Vegas dress" -- it's sophisticated and sexy without being too revealing. However, I didn't have any plans to go to Las Vegas at the time, but I figured I should order it anyway and save it until I do. I've had it hanging in my closet for a little over a month until it made its debut on a last minute Labor Day weekend trip to Las Vegas. :) This champagne and black dress is fun to wear for a night out!
