Mattify! Cosmetics + Look

Bronzer for review. These and other Mattify! Cosmetic products contain Kaolin clay, an ingredient known for its oil absorbing quality. I incorporated all the products in a makeup look. I saw this on their window display, and I kept looking at it every time I walked past it until one day I eventually caved in and bought it. It's on the pricier side, but it's one of those things you can wear to make a statement and stay warm at the same time! It feels so soft and cuddly, and it's even machine washable! Read more... -
Pumpkin Carving Gadgets
Posted on October 26, 2011 | Leave a CommentCarving and lighting pumpkins just got more convenient after discovering these new gadgets -- a Dremel Pumpkin Carving Kit and Remote Control Pumpkin Lights. I like to freehand my own pumpkin template every year. The Dremel came in really handy for smooth, round shapes in my pumpkin design, and the remote control LED lights illuminate my pumpkin up to 20 feet away! Orange and Dark Gray Look + Pumpkin Festival!
Posted on October 24, 2011 | 4 CommentsI always look forward to the Art and Pumpkin Festival in Half Moon Bay, CA every year. Aside from all the yummy pumpkin-themed food and crafts, it's the one day in the year that I put on my pumpkin beret -- an orange hat with green stem. :) I usually come up with a makeup look with orange in it to match my hat. This year I paired orange with dark gray eye shadow (instead of black so it's not too Halloween-y). Check out pictures of the makeup and festival! Read more... -

I'm already a big fan of both companies, but when you put them together -- it's like a dream come true! Accessories in the collection include bracelets, rings, necklaces, earrings, and clutch bags. There are also Swarovski Hello Kitty crystal figurines and much more. I was particularly excited about these two earrings, which my fiancé ended up giving to me as a surprise! Read more...
