Inglot YSM Cream Foundation

Inglot YSM Cream Foundation is a medium to full coverage foundation with a semi-matte finish. YSM stands for Young Skin Makeup, and it’s the line of foundation from Inglot that’s best suited for those looking for more of a natural look rather than flawless complete coverage (for example, if you have freckles, the foundation will even out your skin tone without hiding your freckles). This is a great everyday foundation that’s not too expensive. Compared to similar name-brand foundations like MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 ($26.50), Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation ($40.00), and Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15 ($46.00), Inglot YSM Cream Foundation is only $15.00 — and the foundations I listed all come with the same amount of product, 30ml/1oz!

Shown in the picture on the top right, I’m wearing Inglot YSM Cream Foundation in “44”, which I applied with a MAC 188 Small Duo Fibre Face Brush. I put a moisturizer with SPF beforehand, since this foundation does not have any SPF. I didn’t apply any additional makeup (such as powder) on top of the foundation in this picture. As you can see, the finish is neither too shiny nor too matte — it gives a natural healthy glow!

In the picture above, I swatched the YSM Cream Foundation in “44” on a bare arm (no primer). The foundation blended in so well that I could hardly see where it was. I made the swatch circular, so if you imagine a circle centered where the pink arrow is pointing that has a radius that’s the same length as the arrow, that is where the swatch is. :)

Here’s how the foundation looks like after I’ve applied the rest of my makeup for the day. I’ve found that it’s best to use concealer before applying YSM Cream Foundation rather than after. When this foundation dries, it feels almost powdery — applying a non-powder concealer on top of something powdery does not blend well. Other than that, the only other thing to keep in mind when determining if Inglot YSM Cream Foundation is right for you is their somewhat limited shade range. Unlike MAC that usually carries around 30 shades for their most popular foundation products, YSM Cream Foundation only comes in 14 shades. Those that are more fair or more ebony might not find a perfect match. For the price, you can’t go wrong with the quality of this product if you can find one in your shade! Ask to be matched and for a sample at an Inglot store.

I tried this foundation on today and I love it. I purchased the foundation and the powder in 41. The coverage is pretty good and I like it better than the counterparts in MUFE and MAC. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Hi Rola,

I’m glad you like it too! If you like black gel liners, Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel in “77″ is my #1! :)
