Sparkly Gray Smokey Eye Look
Posted on November 30, 2011 | 2 CommentsHere's another look using the Limited Edition Paint Pot in "For Effect" from the MAC Glitter & Ice Holiday Colour Collection. I used the same charcoal black pigment from my Classic Black Smokey Eye Look, but since I applied it on top of "For Effect", the result was more of a metallic gray rather than black. Just for fun, I also drew an extended black line from the outer lower lash line, going parallel to the eyeliner wing. Read more... -
Inglot Turquoise Pigment Look
Posted on November 28, 2011 | 1 CommentThis makeup look features one of the Inglot AMC Pure Pigment Eye Shadows I reviewed back in September. I applied the shimmery turquoise "71" pigment wet to make it more vibrant, but the color also looks nice when used dry. The brown eye shadow is called "Lie Low", and it's one of the permanent MAC Pro Longwear Eye Shadows that were released with MAC Styledriven. I've been reaching for this eye shadow a lot ever since I bought it a few weeks ago! Read more... -
Fashion Friday: Episode 92
Posted on November 25, 2011 | 1 Comment'Tis the season for sequins! They are a great way to add some sparkle and shine to your outfit. :) One thing that annoys me about sequins though is when they're placed on a garment in such a way that it comes in contact with my neck, arms, waist, and/or legs and those pretty plastic disks end up scratching me when I move around. That's why I was relieved to find these Sequined Track Shorts at Free People -- it's a great way to comfortably wear some sequins! Read more... -
Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat
Posted on November 22, 2011 | Leave a CommentNot only do I come up with a blue and gold makeup look for the Cal vs. Stanford football game each year, I also like to do something school-spirited with my nails. I tried OPI's "Black Shatter" crackle nail polish back in January 2011, and I really liked it. So when I saw this navy blue Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat at my local drugstore, I thought this would be a great way to combine my school colors! Crackle polishes create a unique design on your nails very quickly and easily! Read more... -
Blue and Gold Liner Look
Posted on November 19, 2011 | 4 CommentsI'll be cheering for Cal to win the 114th Big Game at Stanford Stadium today. Although Stanford is ranked in the Top 10 and Cal is once again the underdog, I'm always decked out in Cal blue and gold -- including my makeup! :D I came up with this very quick makeup look that's simple but does the job of showing off my school spirit. I used Urban Decay 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliners in "Radium" (bright blue with silver sparkle) and "El Dorado" (yellow gold with gold sparkle). GO BEARS! Read more...
