Fashion Friday: Episode 89

As soon as the weather gets too cold for open-toe flats and sandals, I dig out my UGG Australia boots that tend to get buried in my closet over the summer. Over the years I have acquired four pairs of the classic UGG boots (two of which I donated and replaced with the other two). When I saw the new style of UGG Australia boots with heels, I knew I’d have to get a pair because I really like how they look — they’re stylish and more versatile without losing the warmth and coziness of the classic ones! :) The style I bought is called “Aubree”, and I got it at Nordstrom for $324.95 (on the higher end of the UGG Australia boot family, but I’ve been getting lots of use out of them already!).

I bought a pair in black, but it also comes in “Fawn” (the center boot in the picture below). This soft suede boot is lined with genuine shearling that helps keep feet dry and comfortable at cold temperatures. The heel height is 3 1/4″, which is the perfect height for me to stand a little taller while still being able to walk around comfortably as much as I want. The lace-up closure is also great for adjusting to narrower or (in my case) wider calves.

I’ve been wearing these mostly with dresses and leggings, but they also look great with jeans. Try on a pair of “Aubree” boots next time you’re searching for warm fall/winter boots! If you have a pair of classic ugg boots, check out how I dress them up. :)
