Fashion Friday: Episode 91
Posted on November 18, 2011 | Leave a CommentI mainly shop at Free People stores when I want to buy Free People clothing, but I also like to check for Free People bargains elsewhere. I've found great deals from Macy's sale racks (like the dress featured in Episode 84). This black slip dress and FP New Romantics Fringe Sleeve Top are bargains I found at Marshalls for much less than they were listed on Free People's website! The white crochet top is a unique layering piece, and the black slip can be worn alone or under a dress. Read more... -
“For Effect” Gray and Pink Look
Posted on November 16, 2011 | 8 CommentsThis is the first makeup look I came up with using MAC Limited Edition Paint Pot in "For Effect" (see my review). To make the Inglot gray eye shadow bolder and to add more sparkle to the lid, I used For Effect first as a base on my lid and then applied the eye shadow on top of it. I also applied a matte pink eye shadow to tie in the new MAC "Rebel" lipstick I just bought. :) Read more... -
MAC Glitter and Ice Paint Pot in “For Effect”
Posted on November 14, 2011 | 2 CommentsMAC released their Glitter and Ice Collection for Holiday 2011 at the end of October. There are three limited edition Paint Pots included in this collection, and this black with pearl one called "For Effect" is the one that impressed me the most. The color can look anything between a light gray to a gunmetal gray/black depending on how much you apply. This paint pot is great for smokey and wintery makeup looks! See pictures of swatches and how I like to apply it -- the silver sparkle is so pretty! Read more... -
Fashion Friday: Episode 90
Posted on November 11, 2011 | Leave a CommentI like this Miles of Lace Dress from Free People so much that I ended up buying it in both colors it comes in -- Grey and Alabaster. The sheer lace dress has a pretty floral pattern, and it comes with a removable slip dress underneath. These dresses are very versatile -- they can be dressed up or down. If you've been wanting a pretty lace dress that is really comfortable (not scratchy or itchy at all) and is sturdy enough to throw in the washing machine, this Miles of Lace Dress is perfect! Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Palette Look
Posted on November 9, 2011 | 8 CommentsI wasn't sure if I should buy the Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Palette at first, since I'm very much content with my Naked Palette. However, I was sold after swatching Junkshow (bright pink with fuchsia shift) and Deep End (bright teal shimmer) -- they're gorgeous (and the other colors are nice too)! Here's my first look using this palette, featuring Junkshow and Deep End as pops of colors to this otherwise neutral look. :) Read more...
