Rilakkuma is a Japanese bear character by San-X that I have been obsessed with ever since I went to Japan a few years ago. I wrote about some Rilakumma items in past Nerdy Stuff posts, so when I saw this cute scissors stand I knew it would be a handy addition to my Rilakkuma collection. I like having a pair of scissors that I can rely on being returned to the exact same place when other people use it. This Rilakkuma scissors stand does exactly that!

This stand is 5.5 inches tall. I like how it just looks like a figurine on display, but if you look closely there is an opening on the top of its head. Rilakkuma is always shown with a zipper on his backside, so you can see the “zipper” in the picture on the right.

You can lift the scissors out by grabbing onto the ears. When you’re done, you feel the need to put it back so that the poor bear gets his ears back. I love little things like this that makes life easier — now I always know where to find a pair of scissors!
