    Rilakkuma Scissors Stand

Rilakkuma is a Japanese bear character by San-X that I have been obsessed with ever since I went to Japan a few years ago. I wrote about some Rilakumma items in past Nerdy Stuff posts, so when I saw this cute scissors stand I knew it would be a handy addition to my Rilakkuma collection. I like having a pair of scissors that I can rely on being returned to the exact same place when other people use it. This Rilakkuma scissors stand does exactly that! :) Read more...

    Fashion Friday: Episode 100

This is a fun, casual outfit that I plan to wear during the day on Valentine's Day. I layered a knit pullover sweater over a sheer white polka dot slip dress. The soft peach color of the sweater is a nice change from the usual Valentine pinks and reds. I initially got this slip dress in blue, and I liked it so much that I got one in white. There are lots of ways to wear it (as a slip, dress, tunic, swimsuit cover up, etc.) -- it's such a cute layering piece for all seasons. Read more...

    Tough as Taupe Makeup Look

This is a great everyday makeup look featuring Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadow in "35 Tough as Taupe" (see my review). I actually like this as a wedding look as well -- just add some false lashes! :) Tough as Taupe has great staying power. This Color Tattoo doesn't budge or fade, even though my eyes tend to get watery. I don't wear my makeup for 24 hours straight to be able to test Maybelline's claim, but I can happily say that it stays put for as long as I need it to! Read more...

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR Eyeshadow in “Tough as Taupe”

I've been using creamy gel texture eyeshadow products a lot lately, so I wanted to try the new Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 Hour Eyeshadows to see how they perform for a drugstore alternative. I picked up the matte gray-beige color called "35 Tough as Taupe". Although there are some fun, colorful shades like teal and orange, I was drawn to this color because I wanted to see if it's a dupe for Mally Evercolor Shade Sticks I've been using for wedding looks. See how they compare! Read more...

    Fashion Friday: Episode 99

The long-anticipated Jason Wu for Target collection debuts this Sunday, February 5, 2012! Target has partnered with high-end brands in the past (like Italian knitwear designer Missoni in September 2011) that have attracted many consumers who want designer fashion without the high-end price tags. Everything in this line is priced from $19.99 to $49.99! Jason Wu's collection for Target features his signature "effortlessly elegant" styles for women. Here are some of my favorites! Read more...
