Inglot Gray and Silver Makeup Look
Posted on March 27, 2012 | 3 CommentsThis look features two Inglot eye shadows from my 40-pan Freedom System palette I picked out in Las Vegas last summer but haven't used until now. One is a silvery white with pearly sheen ("447"), and the other is a dark gray with frosty finish ("23"). To this day, I have not come across an Inglot eye shadow that I didn't like. The color payoff on these are great, just like all the other Inglot eye shadows I've used so far. They are very easy to blend as well! Read more... -
Fashion Friday: Military-Inspired Jacket
Posted on March 23, 2012 | 1 CommentOne of my biggest shopping regrets was not getting a gorgeous military-inspired cape when I had the chance in November 2010. By the time I realized how much I wanted it, the cape was nowhere to be found. I've been searching for similar military-inspired outerwear with gold embroidery and buttons ever since. The closest I've found so far is this Denim & Supply Ralph Lauren jacket -- although it's not as elegant as my cape-that-got-away, there are elements that remind me of it. :) Read more... -
Trish McEvoy Intense Gel Eye Liner
Posted on March 21, 2012 | 3 CommentsGel liners are my absolute favorite products for lining my eyes in terms of staying power. I have been such a huge fan of Inglot Eyeliner Gels, but I have to wash the brush I use to apply it after every use as it quickly dries and stiffens the brush. When I heard of this gel eye liner in pencil form by Trish McEvoy, I thought it would be worth checking out to see if I could get similar results as Inglot ones without having to wash another brush. Check out the swatches and my experience trying it out! Read more... -
Fashion Friday: Dropwaist Mini Dress
Posted on March 16, 2012 | Leave a CommentAlthough green is present in my wardrobe, it is definitely not one of the dominant colors. I began to realize that when I do buy something green, it usually happens in early March. I don't intentionally hunt for a new green outfit just for St. Patrick's Day, but I have a feeling that maybe there's some correlation there. :) This green dress caught my eye two weeks ago at Anthropologie, not just because of the vibrant emerald color but also the drop waist design that creates an illusion of height. St. Patrick’s Day Green Makeup Look
Posted on March 15, 2012 | 2 CommentsDon't get pinched this St. Patrick's Day for not wearing green! I'll be wearing green makeup, of course. :) I've been liking the MAC Pro Longwear Eye Shadows I've purchased so far, so I decided to get another one. Since the colors I got previously were browns, I picked out this bright kelly green eye shadow called "Fresh Flare". The color is similar to MAC Pro Pigment in "Kelly Green" (see my Fun Green Makeup Look), and it's easier to apply! Read more...
