Too Faced Better Than False Lashes
Posted on August 28, 2012 | 2 CommentsToo Faced Better Than False Lashes isn't your traditional mascara -- it's a lash extension system that claims to be like brushing on false lashes. Combining mascara and fiber is not new -- there are mascaras out there that already have nylon fibers built in, so what makes this Too Faced product different is that the nylon fibers are separate from the mascara giving you control of how much you want to apply. Check out my step-by-step pictures, and see if this will work for you! Read more... -
Urban Decay Smoked Palette Look 1
Posted on August 22, 2012 | 2 CommentsFor my first makeup look using the Urban Decay Smoked Palette, I came up with a basic neutral smokey eye that can be worn during the day and into the night. I used three colors: Kinky (matte ivory), Mushroom (shimmery warm pale gray), and Barlust (metallic dark golden brown). Kinky and Barlust are new and exclusive to this palette. I really like how applying Mushroom on the lid turned out -- it's a subtle gray that adds something special to a typical brown smokey eye. Read more... -

Fan Look: Subtle Blue and Green Makeup
Posted on August 9, 2012 | 2 CommentsI remember reading a comment from Monica on my Glittery Teal and Brown Look about how she wasn't comfortable wearing blue and green eye shadows. I sent her a link to one of my makeup looks that combines both blue and green that I wanted her to try someday. This past weekend I got an email from Monica saying that after a few tries, she now LOVES blues and greens! Here's how her makeup turned out! Read more... -
Sparkly Gold, Brown, and Black Makeup Look
Posted on August 2, 2012 | 4 CommentsI've always been a big fan of shimmery gold eye shadow (even my very first MAC eye shadow was a limited edition gold called "Bagatelle"), so I was really excited when I came across Chanel Illusion d'Ombre Long Wear Eyeshadow in "89 Vision" when I was in Germany earlier this month. Vision is jam-packed with gold sparkle that can be used to create a very bold gold look as well as just to add something special to an everyday look, like I did in today's makeup look. :) Read more...
