This is a fun, casual outfit that I plan to wear during the day on Valentine's Day. I layered a knit pullover sweater over a sheer white polka dot slip dress. The soft peach color of the sweater is a nice change from the usual Valentine pinks and reds. I initially got this slip dress in blue, and I liked it so much that I got one in white. I saw this Free People Fancy Lace Dress on display and was drawn to the cute details that enhance this nude-colored dress. There are silver metallic foil embellishments that look like tiny silver flowers/leaves stamped all over the fabric. I adore the ruffle trim at the hem as well. Since it has a plunging V-neckline, I wore a sheer black chiffon blouse underneath for a more conservative look. And the sequins continue from last Fashion Friday! This time I got this Medal of Honor Sequin Mini Skirt at Betsey Johnson during their Black Friday Frenzy. I attended a VIP event at my nearby Betsey Johnson store the Tuesday before Black Friday. They gave out cupcakes, champagne, and 40% off entire purchase! 'Tis the season for sequins! They are a great way to add some sparkle and shine to your outfit. :) One thing that annoys me about sequins though is when they're placed on a garment in such a way that it comes in contact with my neck, arms, waist, and/or legs and those pretty plastic disks end up scratching me when I move around. I've found great deals from Macy's sale racks (like the dress featured in Episode 84). This black slip dress and FP New Romantics Fringe Sleeve Top are bargains I found at Marshalls for much less than they were listed on Free People's website!
