MAC “Quite Cute” Lipstick + Look
Posted on May 9, 2011 | 4 CommentsI'm always drawn to purple lipsticks, so I ended up getting MAC's "Quite Cute" lipstick from their newest collection of the same name. This limited edition lipstick has a semi-opaque pale lavender color and has a cremesheen finish. Here are my thoughts on this lipstick and a purple makeup look to go along with it! Read more... -
Subtle Blue and Green Look
Posted on May 2, 2011 | 10 CommentsThis makeup look combines both blue and green in a subtle way so that it's not too overpowering yet can still make a bold statement. A few years ago, I didn't wear much blue or green eye shadow, but now I love incorporating them in my makeup! I found it helpful to start with adding a little blue or green somewhere in your makeup look before you start using more of them. Green and Coral Look
Posted on April 25, 2011 | 1 CommentThis makeup look matches the coral dress and green scarf I wrote about in my latest Fashion Friday post. I added just a touch of coral on the outer lid to subtly tie in the color. Read more... -
Pastel Colors with Gray Look
Posted on April 18, 2011 | 3 CommentsWith Easter coming up on Sunday, I felt like creating a pastel makeup look with a twist. I surrounded some pastel colors with gray, because it made me think of winter transitioning into spring. For the pastel colors, I used soft blue and pink on my lid and then blended them where they meet to create a light pastel purple shade. I finished the look with a rich violet lip color to tie in the purple eye shadow blend. Read more... -
Glittery Teal and Brown Look
Posted on April 11, 2011 | 9 CommentsI've been holding onto a gorgeous MAC Pro Glitter in "Turquoise" for a couple months now, and I finally got around to using it! I put it on top of one of my favorite Inglot eye shadow colors -- a matte teal ("372"). The glitter sparkles so much more than these pictures show! If you don't have this MAC Pro glitter, any cosmetic grade turquoise glitter will do! Read more...
