Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette Look 1
Posted on April 26, 2012 | 3 CommentsThis is my first makeup look using eye shadows from the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. I applied the shimmery pale beige-gray color called "Verve" on the center lid to create a glow against the darker brown colors. I also used the travel-size Lip Junkie Lipgloss that comes with this palette. This is an everyday look that works great for both day and night! If you're also a proud owner of the Naked 2 Palette, I'd love to see makeup looks you come up with too! :) Read more... -
Inglot Blue and Green Makeup Look
Posted on April 3, 2012 | 5 CommentsI wanted to give my 40-pan Freedom System palette some more attention, so I came up with another all Inglot eye shadow look using colors I haven't tried before. When I was looking at my palette to determine what colors I wanted to use, my eyes were drawn to four colors that were next to each other -- aqua/turquoise blues and greens. The end result turned out to be a colorful spring look! This would also be fun to wear on Easter. :) Read more... -
Inglot Gray and Silver Makeup Look
Posted on March 27, 2012 | 3 CommentsThis look features two Inglot eye shadows from my 40-pan Freedom System palette I picked out in Las Vegas last summer but haven't used until now. One is a silvery white with pearly sheen ("447"), and the other is a dark gray with frosty finish ("23"). To this day, I have not come across an Inglot eye shadow that I didn't like. The color payoff on these are great, just like all the other Inglot eye shadows I've used so far. They are very easy to blend as well! Read more... -
St. Patrick’s Day Green Makeup Look
Posted on March 15, 2012 | 2 CommentsDon't get pinched this St. Patrick's Day for not wearing green! I'll be wearing green makeup, of course. :) I've been liking the MAC Pro Longwear Eye Shadows I've purchased so far, so I decided to get another one. Since the colors I got previously were browns, I picked out this bright kelly green eye shadow called "Fresh Flare". The color is similar to MAC Pro Pigment in "Kelly Green" (see my Fun Green Makeup Look), and it's easier to apply! Read more... -
Fan Look: Prom Makeup
Posted on March 13, 2012 | 5 CommentsKayla wrote to me a couple weeks ago asking for advice on what makeup she could wear for prom. She likes blue eye shadow, but her prom dress is bright aqua blue and she didn't want to overdo the blue on her eyes. I recommended the placement of blue on my Gold, Brown, and Teal Makeup Look, and she ended up creating her own version for prom. Check out Kayla's gray, silver, and blue prom makeup, and read her tips on how she applied it! :) Read more...
