Gradient Blue Look
Posted on August 24, 2010 | 3 CommentsA gradient is a smooth blending of shades from light to dark (or from one color to another). When applying eye shadow, the easiest way to blend two colors together is when you use two colors that are the same color but different shades. For this look, I used white and 3 shades of blue to create a gradient. You can create other gradient looks the same way using at least 2 different shades of one color. Read more... -
Partylicious Look
Posted on August 21, 2010 | 1 CommentI created this look to feature “Partylicious” pigment from MAC’s Alice + Olivia collection that launched back in July 8, 2010. I used "Partylicious" pigment in a previous look, but I wanted to bring it out more in this look to show more of its beautiful turquoise color with silver pearl. Black, Brown, and White Look
Posted on August 19, 2010 | 1 CommentThis is a dramatic black and white smokey eye look with an unexpected pop of brown. The brown helps to transition the white with the black. Try this look at night when you're going out for dinner or to a party! Read more... -
Bright Lime Green Look
Posted on August 18, 2010 | 2 CommentsI used complementary colors for this look, similar to my Bright Yellow Look. This time I applied shades of green and red makeup. I wore an all-black dress, so I wanted to go bold with my makeup to add some color to my overall look. Read more... -
Light Pink Look
Posted on August 16, 2010 | 2 CommentsThis is a very subtle "almost no makeup" look with a little bit of color. I used light pink on my eyes, cheeks, and lips. I added a touch of green on my lower waterline for a tad more color, but you can leave this out if you want it to look more natural. This is a great look for daytime wear or for all day for those of you who are just getting into makeup or who prefer to wear subtle makeup. Read more...
