Fall Orange and Brown Makeup Look
Posted on October 17, 2011 | 2 CommentsI used MAC Pigment in "Copper Sparkle" in my Fall Makeup Look from last year, but this time I applied it on top of a much brighter orange to really bring out the color. The resulting burnt orange color stands out a lot more than the orange MAC "Rule" eye shadow I used in the previous look. "Copper Sparkle" is such a gorgeous color -- not only is it my go-to pigment every fall season, but it's also one of my favorite and most used pigments! Read more... -
Halloween Makeup Look – Princess Peach
Posted on October 12, 2011 | 6 CommentsLast year my fiancé and I dressed up as Mario and Princess Peach for Halloween in honor of the 25th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. Princess Peach (originally known as Princess Toadstool) is from the Mushroom Kingdom and is often rescued by Mario (but she saves him too in Super Princess Peach for Nintendo DS -- a great game, by the way!). :) We also got a Yoshi backpack and a Star wand. Check out my Princess Peach-inspired makeup look and pictures from Googleween 2010! Read more... -
Mineralize Blue and Brown Look
Posted on October 10, 2011 | 5 CommentsI didn't buy any of the new Mineralize Eyeshadow Duos that MAC released in May 2011, but I own a few of the previous ones. My favorite of the duos by far is still "Sea and Sky". Along with a marbleized sky blue color, "Sea and Sky" comes with a gorgeous medium-to-dark blue that has such an intense, rich color. This is the blue featured in this makeup look. The steps are similar to my technique for adding a pop of color to your eye shadow if you want to follow along. :) Read more... -
Half-Wild Purple Makeup Look
Posted on September 28, 2011 | Leave a CommentThis is my first makeup look using the MAC Limited Edition Paint Pot in "Half-Wild" that I just reviewed. I used Half-Wild as a base on my lid to make the Inglot purple eye shadow I applied on top much bolder. I decided to add a light gray color to the purple eye makeup to match a gray and purple dress I was wearing that day, but I also like how the purple stands out even more against the matte gray. Brown and Gold-Green Duochrome Look
Posted on September 19, 2011 | 6 CommentsThis is my first makeup look using one of the Inglot AMC Pure Pigment Eye Shadows that I recently reviewed. I applied "84" pigment wet to intensify this gold with green duochrome color. Duochromes shift between two different colors depending on the way light hits them -- in these pictures, the light hits my center lid and really brings out the gold-green in that area.
