Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Palette Look
Posted on November 9, 2011 | 8 CommentsI wasn't sure if I should buy the Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Palette at first, since I'm very much content with my Naked Palette. However, I was sold after swatching Junkshow (bright pink with fuchsia shift) and Deep End (bright teal shimmer) -- they're gorgeous (and the other colors are nice too)! Here's my first look using this palette, featuring Junkshow and Deep End as pops of colors to this otherwise neutral look. :) Read more... -
Colorful Bright Makeup Look
Posted on November 2, 2011 | 8 CommentsThis makeup look uses some of my favorite bright eye shadows: Make Up For Ever “75″ (neon pink), Make Up For Ever “18″ (vibrant orange), and MAC "Electric Eel" (bright blue). Applying the pink and blue eye shadows next to each other creates a bright purple color where they are blended. In addition to lining my lower water line with a black kohl pencil, I also lined the outer edge of the lower waterline with a blue kohl pencil so that some blue peeks through the black. Mattify! Cosmetics + Look
Posted on October 31, 2011 | 4 CommentsMattify! Cosmetics focuses on creating products for oily skin. I recently received five of their Long Lasting Sparkling Eye Shadows and Mattify! Bronzer for review. These and other Mattify! Cosmetic products contain Kaolin clay, an ingredient known for its oil absorbing quality. I incorporated all the products in a makeup look. Check out the swatches and my thoughts on these items! Read more... -
Orange and Dark Gray Look + Pumpkin Festival!
Posted on October 24, 2011 | 4 CommentsI always look forward to the Art and Pumpkin Festival in Half Moon Bay, CA every year. Aside from all the yummy pumpkin-themed food and crafts, it's the one day in the year that I put on my pumpkin beret -- an orange hat with green stem. :) I usually come up with a makeup look with orange in it to match my hat. This year I paired orange with dark gray eye shadow (instead of black so it's not too Halloween-y). Check out pictures of the makeup and festival! Read more... -
Mod Makeup Look
Posted on October 19, 2011 | 10 CommentsIn this black and white eye shadow look, I extended a triangular shape on the tear duct to change the shape of the eye, giving it a mod/retro look. The white kohl pencil along the lower waterline also makes the eyes appear bigger. This is more of a statement makeup look that you can wear when you feel daring or on Halloween! I watched Black Swan recently, so this makeup might've been somewhat inspired by that movie. :) Read more...
