    Bright Orange and Pink Look

To further emphasize my love for Make Up For Ever's bright matte eye shadows, here's a really bright look using a neon pink ("75") and vibrant matte orange ("18"). These eye shadows are so pigmented that the color will stay as intense the whole day. Another great thing I love about these bright matte MUFE eye shadows is that the color you see on the pan is how it shows up on your eyes, as you can see in these pictures! Read more...

Urban Decay Naked Palette Look 3

This is a daytime look I came up with using the Naked Palette. I featured two colors that I haven't used in my other Naked Palette looks -- Buck (brown matte) and Smog (golden brown shimmer). The highlight color isn't from the palette though (I mentioned in my review that I wish there were more highlight colors in the palette), so I used one from MAC just for some variety on my Naked Palette Look series. You can just use Virgin as highlight to keep all the colors from the palette. Read more...

    Fan Look: Colorful Makeup Look

Reader Rachel came up with a muted/pastel version of my Colorful Makeup Look using her Sephora Blockbuster Palette from 2009. This is a great look for anyone who wants to wear lots of colors in a subtle way. I really like how her makeup look turned out and how each color smoothly transitions to the next! Rachel explains what colors she used and where, so that you can give it a try too! Thanks Rachel! :) Read more...

Make Up For Ever Purple Makeup Look

I thought I'd have some fun creating a really purple Make Up For Ever look. I used three MUFE eye shadows and a MUFE lipstick here, but as always you can just find similar colors in your own stash (though MUFE has some beautiful bold eye shadow colors). Since all the eye shadows I used were matte, I chose a lipstick with a pearly finish for a different effect. Read more...

    Sunset Beach Makeup Look

This makeup look was inspired by sun setting on a beach, when the sky lights up in orange hues that contrasts the blue ocean horizon. I used two shades of orange on the lid -- a lighter shimmer and a darker matte. The shimmer next to the matte color creates a glistening effect. I applied a bright blue eye shadow on the lower lash line to represent the ocean. Read more...
