Egg-Design Hard Cooked Egg Molds
Posted on April 5, 2012 | Leave a CommentInspired by playful food seen in Japanese bento boxes, Williams-Sonoma came out with this set of four cute egg-design molds for $10.00. In just a few minutes, you can turn an ordinary hard-boiled egg into edible art! This set comes with a star, heart, bear, and bunny. Hard-boiled eggs transformed into a star or heart look especially great cut in half when preparing deviled eggs. I like making bears and bunnies to decorate a dish. Follow along to see how I made a bunny egg! Read more... -
Rilakkuma Scissors Stand
Posted on February 14, 2012 | 4 CommentsRilakkuma is a Japanese bear character by San-X that I have been obsessed with ever since I went to Japan a few years ago. I wrote about some Rilakumma items in past Nerdy Stuff posts, so when I saw this cute scissors stand I knew it would be a handy addition to my Rilakkuma collection. I like having a pair of scissors that I can rely on being returned to the exact same place when other people use it. This Rilakkuma scissors stand does exactly that! :) Read more... -

Pumpkin Carving Gadgets
Posted on October 26, 2011 | Leave a CommentCarving and lighting pumpkins just got more convenient after discovering these new gadgets -- a Dremel Pumpkin Carving Kit and Remote Control Pumpkin Lights. I like to freehand my own pumpkin template every year. The Dremel came in really handy for smooth, round shapes in my pumpkin design, and the remote control LED lights illuminate my pumpkin up to 20 feet away! See how I used these gadgets to make my Hello Kitty and My Melody pumpkin. :) Read more... -
Pucca Diaper Cake
Posted on October 5, 2011 | 2 CommentsMaking a diaper cake is one of the many creative things that my mom is great at, but I have never attempted. One of my friends is going to give birth this month, so I figured it's the perfect time to make my first diaper cake. Since my friend is a Pucca fan, I decided to top the cake with a Pucca doll and incorporate Pucca's colors in the ribbons of the mostly baby pink cake. Check out the "ingredients" and pictures for ideas on how to make your own unique and memorable gift! Read more...
