Maker Faire 2011 + Haul
Posted on May 25, 2011 | Leave a CommentMaker Faire, the ultimate DIY festival, was here last weekend in the SF Bay Area. This is one of my favorite times of the year — when nerds of all ages come together for an event that encourages learning, being creative, and exploring arts, crafts, engineering, and sciences. Here are the cute items by local artists/designers and a totally useless electronics kit I hauled! Also check out a needle felted rose hair clip that I made from materials I bought at last year's Maker Faire. :) Read more... -
Nintendo DSi XL Character Folio
Posted on May 18, 2011 | Leave a CommentEver since I wrote about getting a Nintendo DSi XL last November, I've been looking for a cute case for it. There are a lot of cases I liked for the smaller Nintendo DS Lite/DSi systems (mainly Hello Kitty ones), but I didn't see any cases big enough to fit the DSi XL that caught my eye. I finally found the perfect cute case -- this Nintendo DSi XL Character Folio in "Star"! This folio keeps my system nice and protected as well as holds 6 game cards. It even folds into a stand! Scoops of Flower Measuring Spoons
Posted on May 4, 2011 | 2 CommentsI like collecting cute versions of ordinary things, especially when it's something I can use in the kitchen! I got this Scoops of Flower Measuring Spoonsonline at ModCloth.com
, and it's absolutely adorable! This solid ceramic set comes with a blue and white striped flower pot base and four measuring spoons shaped like flowers. Each spoon is a different length and color combination, and the handles have cute little leaves on them! Read more...

Nerdy Bird Purse Hook
Posted on April 6, 2011 | 3 CommentsWhen I go out and need to put my purse down, the germaphobe in me doesn't allow my purse to ever touch the ground. :) I usually hang my purse on the chair I'm sitting on, but not all chairs have something for a purse to hang securely. On my hunt for a cute purse hanger, I came across this Nerdy Bird Purse Hook by a local artist who creates items inspired from her comic series called Bumperboy. This purse hook is nice and compact... and it holds up to 20 pounds! Read more... -
F in Exams: The Very Best Totally Wrong Test Answers
Posted on March 30, 2011 | 2 CommentsSomething I like to do once in a while is read a book that makes me laugh out loud to myself, leaving my fiancé or anyone around me wondering what the heck I'm doing. :) I recently read Richard Benson's F in Exams: The Very Best Totally Wrong Test Answers, and I got such a kick out of it. This book is filled with actual test question responses from students who couldn't answer them correctly and decided to have some fun instead. Here are some of my favorites from the book!
