Pink Polka Dot Nails

I've been saving this box of Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips in "Pink-a-dot" for almost a year now. This design was one of five limited edition nail strips for Spring 2012, but you can still find them on Amazon! I actually wrote about buying these nail strips last April, and I considered applying them pretty much every time I did my nails since then. Sparkly New Year Nails

I want to wish you all a very Happy New Year! Now that the holidays are over, I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things. I used Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips in "470 Lust-rous" to give myself both a manicure and pedicure for New Year's Eve (click here to see a step-by-step tutorial). I take my time applying these Sally Hansen nail strips (meaning I don't skip any of the prep steps), so I get a good amount of wear time with these (about 2 weeks). Makeup Geek Eyeshadows

Makeup Geek contacted me asking if I would like to try out their new eye shadows from their own line that they recently launched. Of course I said yes -- nerds and geeks unite! :) I got to pick 12 eye shadows, and I swatched them all here. These come in magnetic refill pans similar to MAC Pro Palette Refill Pans, but these come with more product. Overall, I'm very impressed, especially with the matte black!
