Royal & Langnickel SILK Pro Kabuki Fan Brush
Posted on November 8, 2011 | 4 CommentsRoyal & Langnickel specializes in a wide range of makeup brushes and sets for every level of makeup professional and consumer. I recently had the opportunity to try out the Kabuki Fan Brush from their most popular line SILK Pro. The size is perfect for quick and even coverage of blush and contour powder. It's also great for buffing/setting foundation and removing excess powder and eye shadow fallout! See pictures of how to use this brush to achieve a subtle flush of cheek color! Read more... -
Mattify! Cosmetics + Look
Posted on October 31, 2011 | 4 CommentsMattify! Cosmetics focuses on creating products for oily skin. I recently received five of their Long Lasting Sparkling Eye Shadows and Mattify! Bronzer for review. These and other Mattify! Cosmetic products contain Kaolin clay, an ingredient known for its oil absorbing quality. I incorporated all the products in a makeup look. Check out the swatches and my thoughts on these items! Read more... -
Inglot YSM Cream Foundation
Posted on October 3, 2011 | 4 CommentsInglot YSM Cream Foundation is a medium to full coverage foundation with a semi-matte finish. YSM stands for Young Skin Makeup, and it's the line of foundation from Inglot that's best suited for those looking for more of a natural look. This is a great everyday foundation that's not too expensive. Compared to similar name-brand foundations by MAC, Make Up For Ever, and Bobbi Brown, this foundation is only $15.00 for the same amount of product! Read more... -
MAC “Half-Wild” Paint Pot
Posted on September 26, 2011 | 1 CommentI happened to be at my local MAC when they launched their Fall 2011 collection called Posh Paradise. Although this collection includes 10 Mattene Lipsticks and 2 Nail Lacquers, my eyes went directly to the 8 limited edition Paint Pots! I got this red-based mid-tone purple called "Half-Wild". I like using paint pots as a base, but they can also be worn alone. To give you an idea of how Half-Wild can transform the color of an eye shadow when used as a base, check out the swatches! Back to MAC Recycling Program
Posted on September 21, 2011 | 4 CommentsBack to MAC (Back2Mac/B2M) is a program at MAC Cosmetics that rewards customers for recycling their empty containers. When you turn in 6 containers that have plastic, you receive either a free lipstick at a MAC counter in a department store or a free lipstick, lip gloss, or single eye shadow at a freestanding MAC store. Here are some examples of items you can bring in as well as pictures of what I traded and got for free! Read more...
