I love candy, so I was so excited to see this colorful, shiny purse made out of candy wrappers! Eco Fashions is a San Francisco-based handbag company that makes all sorts of bags, totes, and clutches out of recycled materials. This purse was handmade from excess stocks of candy wrappers that have slight misprints -- these candy wrappers would have ended up in a landfill if it weren't craftily transformed into a beautiful purse! I liked the Swalesdale Texture Shrug that I wrote about last Friday so much that I ended up getting one in Grey. Now that summer is coming to an end yet the weather has still been pretty warm, I was drawn to this dress since the length, material, and sleeves make it a good transition piece for chillier weather. The dress is very form fitting but still comfortable to walk around. I like the ruching along the sides of the dress that accentuate the hips. I wore it with a Nine West square scarf from Nordstrom that has cascading gold chain that goes along two sides of the scarf. Read more...

When I saw this dress online, I knew that it was going to be my "Vegas dress" -- it's sophisticated and sexy without being too revealing. However, I didn't have any plans to go to Las Vegas at the time, but I figured I should order it anyway and save it until I do. I've had it hanging in my closet for a little over a month until it made its debut on a last minute Labor Day weekend trip to Las Vegas. :) This champagne and black dress is fun to wear for a night out!
