Neutral Eye with Dramatic Liner Look
Posted on September 5, 2011 | 2 CommentsAs I mentioned in my Technique post on how to create winged/cat eyeliner, I usually like wearing a single wash of a neutral color on my entire lid when I wear dramatic liner. That way the liner is the focus of the eye makeup as it really stands out against a simple background. However, dramatic liners can look nice with more eye shadow colors too. I bought my first pair of TOMS two weeks ago, and I have to say I love it -- not only is it comfortable and cute, it gives me the happy feeling of having done something good. Bright Blue and Orange Look

When used together, complementary colors really stand out. I chose bright shades of blue and orange, but muted shades will stand out as well since two complementary colors provide the greatest chromatic contrast to each other. Read more... -
Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips in “Bling It On”

These nail strips last much longer than any nail polish I've tried, and they always get lots of compliments (read more about them in my detailed review)! Although I've gone through 7 boxes of these Sally Hansen nail strips (and counting!), this is the first one I've tried with a glitter finish. Fashion Friday: Episode 79
Posted on August 26, 2011 | Leave a CommentI went to Target with my mom and sisters last Sunday, and we decided to check out their large collection of clearance clothing items. I found some really great bargains -- I got two outfits for $35 ($32.94 before tax)! This first outfit consists of a black and cream top by Mossimo and a navy blue and black Xhilaration skirt with a subtle tribal print. The second outfit I got is a colorful floral Xhilaration dress that comes with a thin brown belt. Have you found any bargains recently? Read more...
