Fashion Friday: Episode 77
Posted on August 12, 2011 | Leave a CommentI was so happy to get this A-Different-Stripe Maxi Dress from Anthropologie on sale! I first laid my eyes on it in one of their catalogs a couple months ago, but I didn't want to get it for $138.00. Now that it's $69.95, I placed an order on Anthropologie.com and got my dress within a couple days. I have a few navy and white striped clothes, but this dress is just different -- I like the varied spacing and thickness of each block of color and how the stripes are aligned on the crisscross back. Urban Decay Naked Palette Look 4
Posted on August 10, 2011 | 3 CommentsHere's another easy makeup look you can try with your Naked Palette! This makeup look features two matte colors in the palette -- Naked (buff matte) and Buck (brown matte). These matte colors can be easily overlooked with all the gorgeous shimmery ones in the palette, so I wanted to create a look showcasing them both. I lined my upper lash line with a dark brown color (Darkhorse, which is also in the palette) for a softer effect, since I wore this makeup during the day. Read more... -
Before and After Makeover: Izzy
Posted on August 8, 2011 | 2 CommentsI met Izzy during freshman orientation at UC Berkeley a few years ago. Although we didn't have a single class together in college, we stayed good friends ever since! She was heading to Las Vegas for the weekend to attend her friend's wedding, and she asked me if I could show her some makeup looks. Since we didn't have a lot of time, this 3-in-1 makeover was an efficient way to go over three different makeup looks in a short amount of time! Read more... -
Fashion Friday: Episode 76
Posted on August 5, 2011 | 1 CommentI was walking around Macy's last Sunday and came across these cute black pumps. When I first saw these from a few feet away, I was initially drawn to the shorter heel (only 2 1/2 inches). Then when I noticed the bows on the front, I knew I wasn't going home without them! These shoes are great for evening/formal wear as well as the office. This would be a great shoe to try if you're looking for a heel that's not too tall and goes well with a lot of outfits! Green, Orange, and Blue Look
Posted on August 3, 2011 | 4 CommentsFor this colorful makeup look, I felt like using a combination of some of my favorite eye shadow brands -- Inglot, Make Up For Ever, and MAC. I wore it with a bright orange lipstick to bring out the little bit of orange I used on my lid. Alternatively, you can wear a nude lip or a lighter coral lip color to keep the focus of all the bright, bold colors only on your eyes. Read more...
